The following are some photos taken at Julyamsh, a local powwow hosted by the Coeur d'Alene tribe. The eye candy was so intense it almost sent me into a diabetic comma. Anyway, I had fun playing event photographer again after many years. I really didn't work very hard, it was too hot, but lucked out finding a good spot for shooting. The light was right and I was soon in a state of photographic mushin. The viewer of these pictures should know that they were taken at about 8:00 PM when the temperature had cooled to a brisk 85 degrees F. Enduring the heat is the name of the game at this event.

Thanks for these gorgeous pictures, Janine, I'll have to plan one of my Idaho trips during powwow. Is it open to the public? how do they put the word out?
