What's not to like about north Idaho in the summer. There are lots of things to do and this summer seems like a fitting reward for enduring last winter. This blog is for Kathleen who I haven't talked to for a long time until today. Carla also asked me about how the pot making was going. Words are escaping me but pictures are not.
Bowls... Many of the these will be recycled. They are a bit heavy besides, I don't have a clue yet how I'll fire them. I'm starting to run out of shelf space. My husband asked me the other day if I'll ever stop cutting these in half before even letting them dry. The idea is to be able to make a pot with even walls. Cutting them in half lets you see immediately how you're doing. It is also a good example of practicing detachment and recognizing impermanence.
View of Lake Pond Oreille looking south from yet another geocache site where again the cache eluded us. We found this view however.
We went to a lavender festival at this beautiful ranch. Unfortunately most of the lavender pictured was not ready to pick in time for the festival.
I love the band aid that this gal uses to fasten her mic.
This bridge begged to be photographed.
